Co-owner of The Dreamhouse, designer, stylist—and the creative force behind countless restorations in Koskinou. He brings old houses back to life with a style that is authentic, respectful, and deeply connected to Rhodian tradition.
Every detail in The Dreamhouse bears his signature and to some extend Gudrun's: craftsmanship, history, and a touch of poetry. He rented the house out as a vacation rental until 2025, but when I proposed a B&B and pottery retreats, he immediately embraced the idea and did everything he could to make my dream a reality, even including building a studio and a kiln space on the estate.
From 2026 onwards he will only rent out the house as a holiday home in July and August.
Yiorgos Stavridis is one of the silent driving forces behind The Dream House in Rhodes. He's co-owner, my ex-husband, father of my children, and still one of my best friends—and above all, one of the driving forces at the background of the retreats.
Yiorgos grew up among the traditional stone houses of Rhodes and has developed an impeccable sense of what an old house needs. He always restores with respect for what's already there : the lines, the materials, the breath of the past. No modern frills, no new architecture—his talent lies entirely in old buildings . That's where his eye for detail and his almost intuitive understanding of structure and history truly shine.
Besides his work on houses, Yiorgos is a huge supporter of art work. He believes in creativity, craftsmanship, and people who make things with their hands—and he's dedicated to making that environment possible, without any fuss.
In short: Yiorgos is the man who keeps the peace, understands the stones, absorbs the chaos and ensures that the Dream House remains what it is — a place where things come together.
