Ceramics lessons in Andijk
Since September 2025, I’ve been teaching in my own clay studio in Andijk. And I’m loving it. Watching students grow — from their first hesitant steps at the wheel to real confidence — is incredibly rewarding. Not only do they grow in their skills, it's also a social place where people connect and make friends.
The studio has become a calm place where people can slow down, make friends, work with their hands, and feel their minds settle. Clay really does that to you.
About my workshop
In Andijk, I have a small, cozy studio, fully equipped for teaching. It has five electric turntables – four for the students and one for me. This allows for small groups and plenty of personal attention. All of this is used for turning lessons.
I'll also be teaching hand-sculpting at the long table in the studio. Hand-sculpting is often underestimated, but it's so versatile. Everything you can make with a potter's wheel can also be made by hand, and so much more. Virtually anything you can imagine can be made with clay. This is where you'll begin to create art.
I'm also really looking forward to the ceramics classes for children and teenagers. There's plenty of freedom to throw, sculpt, put on some great music, and just play around with clay. I'll also be offering workshops on decorating, and starting in November, I'll also be offering workshops on making ceramic Christmas decorations. I also offer trial lessons to give it a try, and private lessons for those who prefer one-on-one work.
In the small buildings next to my studio, there are two kilns, a clay roller, a clay press, and a spray booth, meaning you can finish and decorate all your creations to the final stage. Nothing is as enjoyable and delicious as drinking and eating your homemade ceramics, and as giving beautiful gifts you've made yourself.
Everyone is welcome – with or without experience. Come work with clay, marvel, and create!
